Documentary Wedding Photography

We are documentary wedding photographers, otherwise known as reportage wedding photographers. We tell the story of your day honestly.

We know how special your day is and we aim to document your day in the most natural way possible

We work together to make sure nothing is missed.

Your wedding day should be filled with love, laughter and family and not spent posing for awkward, staged photographs.

We try to keep posed, formal shots to the minimum and we will never ask you to say cheese.

For couple photos we use our unique creativity, vision and experience to create spectacular shots for your parents’ mantelpiece and we spend the rest of the day capturing memories.

Before your wedding day we will run through your day with you in advance, either by phone, online or if we meet for a pre-wedding photoshoot. We will go over all aspects of your day and give you a questionnaire to fill out to make sure we know as much as possible about your day.

On your wedding day we will arrive a few hours before the ceremony to photograph you and your bridesmaids getting ready, as well as getting the detail shots of your dress, rings and shoes. We will also photograph the groom and his groomsmen getting ready and as the day progresses we will disappear into the crowds to spend time capturing the day as it happens naturally.

We will follow you, your friends and family at the ceremony and then on to the reception.

At some point during your day we would like to take a walk with the two of you to capture some intimate moments.

Then later in the day we will photograph the cutting of the cake, the first dance and then all of your family and friends on the dance floor.

We want you to look back at your wedding day and see images that make you relive the special moments, the nervous moments and the little moments you missed.

At the end of the day, the food’s been eaten, the band’s packed up, but you’ll always have your photographs to remember your day.

If that sounds like what you want from a photographer then say hello. We’re looking forward to hearing from you.
